Hey Apple gaming emulation fans, MAME OS X version 0.116 was recently released.

MAME - Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator

MAME OS X is a native Mac OS X port of the popular MAME emulator. It is designed to take advantage of all the latest Mac OS X technologies, like Core Video and Core Image.

Things fixed in this release:

  • Upgrade to 0.116 core.
  • Fix aspect ratio for rotated displays.
  • Save and restore audit results.
  • Enable dynamic recompiler (DRC) on Intel.
  • Ignore HID devices that could not be open. Should fix Wacom tablet issues.
  • Assume square pixels if display size cannot be determined, i.e. a TV.
  • Add Help menu item to show core whatsnew.txt.
  • Fix Command-T throttle.

MAME OS X v0.116 has 6677 supported ROM sets and 3616 unique games. No quarters required.

It’s available for download in my MAME section. Enjoy!
